Kelsey Thompson becomes a certified public accountant

Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company P.A. is pleased to announce that team member Kelsey Thompson has recently passed the American Institute of CPAs exam and met the requirements to become a licensed certified public accountant in Florida.

The certified public accountant certification is one of the most prestigious professional certifications available. It indicates that the accountant has satisfied a demanding set of educational, professional and ethical standards. The designation is provided by the Florida Board of Accountancy and requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or accounting-related field, the written CPA exam and significant work experience.

Thompson earned a master’s degree in accounting and taxation from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011. She joined the team at Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company in 2006 and is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Forensic Accounting and Mediation Services team.

Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A. announces that firm partner, Gail Markham has been reappointed to serve on two committees with the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Markham will continue to serve on the Valuation, Forensic Accounting & Litigation Services Section Resource Council and the Conference Committee.
