Every other month, we feature MNMW team members, providing you with information to help you get to know us better!

Amber Ashton

While Amber Ashton only recently joined the MNMW family, she quickly settled in perfectly with our team and our clients. If you have not met her yet, make sure you do, especially if you have a business that could use Human Resources consulting. Amber is our HR Manager and Consultant here at MNMW, jumping at the opportunity to join the team because the firm’s reputation and community involvement align perfectly with her values and beliefs.

When not handling the HR needs for MNMW and its clients, you can find her enjoying quality time with family. She enjoys anything outside, often found with her partner and his two young sons, ages four and six, riding bikes, going to the beach, kayaking, and more. Additionally, Amber is very close to her parents, sisters, and niece, always planning activities with them. She grew up in a large family, so it is no surprise that the family-like environment at MNMW was a draw.

Amber loves fitness and traveling too. While her favorite place to visit has been Hawaii, she has an extensive bucket list of places to see that include Italy, Greece, Japan, Australia, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon, to name a few. Even when on vacation, she finds time to fit in opportunities for her health and balance, whether that includes physical fitness or just settling in with a good book in front of an amazing view. While she is a dedicated HR professional today, a unique fact we should mention is that Amber ran her own business as an esthetician. So, while she is not taking a professional approach to wellness, it is clear that she is still very passionate about it for herself and sharing it with the team.

Her strong work ethic is something that she learned from her parents, who taught her to help others and appreciate all that she has in her life. Her giving heart extends to so many charitable efforts in our community. She seeks opportunities to support Meals of Hope, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and many others when a need arises. The quote from Maya Angelou is one of her favorites that she tries to live by: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget the way you made them feel.”

Amber is a graduate of The Ohio State University, so we would be remiss not to mention her love and support for her alma mater.

Her genuine kindness, coupled with her hard work, has made Amber an excellent addition to the MNMW family. We hope that you have an opportunity to meet and work with her soon!
