Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company is pleased to announce that Gail Markham, the firm’s founding partner has recently passed the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) exam and met the requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Markham started the public accounting and consulting firm as a sole-practitioner in 1979. Thirty-four years later, she works alongside her three partners and a team of 35 with offices in Fort Myers and Naples. Gail utilizes her other credentials as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, Certification in Financial Forensics, and a Certified Family Mediator, to lead the firm’s Financial Litigation, Forensic Accounting & Family Mediation Services team.
In order to become a CFE, a candidate must meet the ACFE’s character, experience and education requirements for the CFE credential, and demonstrate knowledge in four areas critical to the fight against fraud: Fraudulent Financial Transactions, Fraud Prevention and Deterrence, Legal Elements of Fraud and Fraud Investigation. The ACFE is the world’s largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. For More Information, visit www.acfe.com.
